Welcome to the Jo-Anna Gardening Guide and Forum Home page...

Welcome to the Jo-Anna Gardening Guide and Forum Home Page.  A gardening information and help site for Jo-Anna Cottage Plants Norfolk; a small cottage industry nursery based in West Norfolk, a stones throw from Sandringham.  The business is run by my husband John and myself, Anna... which is where the 'Jo-Anna' name originates.

We grow many plants ourselves but also purchase from local reputable suppliers to extend our range.  We are small and do not mass produce because we like to provide a personal, old fashioned service and the highest quality we possibly can.  We have a small retail area open daily from dawn until dusk where our customers can purchase items at a reduced, direct price. If you are looking to purchase specific items listed on our ebay or private shop, it is always better to contact us first so we can sure we have it available for you when you visit and can discuss our reduced prices.

How this site started...

The idea behind this site came from our trade on ebay  (Jo-Anna Cottage Plants Norfolk).  We receive a wide range of questions about gardening know how and plants each day.  Instead of answering the individual solely we thought it would be nice to create a forum where we and other avid gardeners could share hints, tips, photo's and video's.  We are also planning a monthly newsletter, vouchers for discounts on our store and a daily blog.  You can also find us on our Facebook page.

Who are Jo-Anna Cottage Plants?...

A little more about us.. My husband, John, provides the brawn, looking after the structural and maintenance side of things and helping with the packing - especially the heavy and bulky parcels.

I look after the administration, packing, growing and nurturing!  I grew up on a nursery so had hands on experience from a young age.

We have 2 dogs, Millie Beth and Poppy who are very much part of the family and make a worthwhile contribution with their first rate digging skills and of course always melt your heart with their incredibly cute looks!

Poppy helping out with a bit of digging!

Millie doing what she does best... looking very cute!

Hints, tips or questions?...

We hope that you will find this site informative and helpful and that if you have any questions, or have any handy gardening tips you can share, that you will contribute to our forum.  Please add us to your bookmarks and come back regularly as we build a comprehensive gardening guide and encyclopedia of plants.  Oh! And of course, do visit our store and see what we have to offer at the moment (Jo-Anna Cottage Plants)

With warmest wishes,

Anna Greyson
